Intergroup Voted to Continue

An extra Intergroup meeting was held on 2-18-12, to address the motion on 1-21-12, to close Intergroup for lack of consistent attendance and participation. A discussion was held to brief attendees on the history and reason for this motion.
The motion was not passed, 5-2, with 2 abstentions. Immediately following the vote an Intergroup Chairperson was voted to serve Intergroup as well as a new treasurer, relieving James R. of his position.

Vote on the possibility of Intergroup Closure 2-18-12

It was decided by the 1-21-12 Intergroup attendees that a vote will take place at a so-called “special Intergroup”, to be held on February 18, 2012 whether to continue with Intergroup as a central unit responsible for the helpline, schedule, and website maintenance, as well as other duties.
If the vote is to close Intergroup, those in attendance will discuss how to pass on those three primary provisions to the area meetings and request that responsiblity be taken for each.

SLAA-thon on 2-13-11

The Annual SLAA-thon will be taking place on February, Sunday 13, starting at 1pm. It will be taking place at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 624 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY. It is hosted by the Saratoga “Homestretch Group”.
- Three one-hour-and-fifteen-minute meetings will be held, to be followed by the regular Saratoga “Homestretch Group” meeting at 7:30.
- The first meeting will be co-ed, from 1:00-2:15 (”Experience - Bottom Lines and Withdrawal“); the second meeting will be split up into two - a men’s and a women’s meeting, from 2:30-3:45 (”Strength - Stepwork“); the third meeting will be a co-ed meeting, from 4:00-5:15 (”Hope - Top Lines“). A potluck dinner will follow, feel free to bring a covered dish to share. We hope to see you there!
